Educating

Education aims to lead the child out of his primary state, to make him/her gradually pass from the state of total dependence of the infant to the autonomy of the adult in an environment that respects our religious and moral values.

If we view education in the light of Islamic teachings then our first inspiration is the the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Allah SWT says in the Quran:

“There is for you in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful example for he who hopes to meet Allah and believes in the last Day, and remembers Allah abundantly.”

Quran 33:21

Prophet Mohammad ﷺ recommended us to use the best methods to succeed in educating.

  • Step by Step

The first characteristic feature that strikes us in the teaching of the Prophet is that it is progressive. We know that the nature of man requires teaching with a certain graduality. We go from simple and easy to more difficult.

  • Play

Through the game, the Muslim parents will inculcate the primordial rules of the Islamic life to their children, for example the rules of the game. politeness, hygiene, etc.

  • Simplicty

The Prophet preferred, of two things, the simplest. Simplifying and facilitating the teaching of religion was an educational principle to which he attached great importance.

  • Variety

In order to make his teaching effective, the Prophet used several teaching methods: Gestures, the repetitions, the questions, the choice of the moment, the discussion, etc.

  • Curiosity

He ensured the birth of curiosity and was aware of its importance in the transmission of his teaching.
